Wicked Auto Films Questions
Questions We Get Asked
Film & durability
What Is the Difference Between Ceramic and Carbon Window Film?
Ceramic blocks heat and light. Carbon just blocks light.
That is why every tint job here is ceramic — if you are paying to have film fitted, the heat is the part you actually feel.
Does paint protection film self-heal?
Yes. Small scratches and swirl marks in the top coat lift out on their own with warmth — sun on the panel, or a bucket of warm water.
Does a ceramic coating protect from stone chips?
No. A ceramic coating keeps the paint easy to clean, resists water spotting, and holds gloss. It does not stop chips or road debris.
Paint protection film is the layer that does that.
How long does the warranty last on window film?
Lifetime, through 3M — the film manufacturer. We fit only 3M film.
How long does the warranty last on paint protection film?
Ten years, through 3M — the film manufacturer.
What ceramic coating do you use?
Nasiol Coatings, on a five-year tier.
The law
Is 5% tint legal in Arkansas?
No. Not on any window, on any body style.
The darkest Arkansas allows is 10% on the rear glass, and on the rear side windows of a truck, SUV or van. A sedan stops at 25% all round except the rear glass.
What is the legal tint limit on the front windows of a sedan in Arkansas?
25% VLT on the driver's window and front passenger window.
The windshield takes a strip of any darkness across the top five inches.
How dark can I go on the back windows of a truck or SUV in Arkansas?
10% VLT on the rear side windows and rear glass.
Sedans are held to 25% on the rear sides — only the rear glass on a sedan goes to 10%.
Does Arkansas allow a medical exemption for darker tint?
Yes. A licensed physician can certify the exemption, which is then filed with the state.
Bring the certificate on the day and we will fit to it.
Turnaround
How long does a full tint take?
Two to three hours, start to finish.
How long does paint protection film take?
One to five days, depending on coverage.
Partial and full front are usually next-day; a full-car wrap takes longer.
How long does a ceramic coating take?
Two days. Paint correction, application, then cure.
How long does a full vinyl wrap take?
One to five days for a full-car colour change.
Partials and accents — hood, roof, stripes — are faster.
Care after the job
When can I roll my windows down after a tint?
Give it three days. The adhesive needs to cure before the glass moves against the seal; earlier and you risk lifting the edge.
Can I pressure wash a car with paint protection film?
Not directly on the film. Regular washing is fine — hand or touchless automatic — but a pressure washer close to a film edge can lift it.
Booking, payment & arriving
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes, happily. If we can start you on the day we will; if not we book the next slot that fits.
Do you charge a deposit?
No. We hold the slot on trust.
What should I bring on the day I drop the car off?
Keys, and take all belongings out of the inside of the car. That is it.
What payment methods do you take?
Cash, card in the bay, Zelle, and Venmo.
Do you charge to remove old tint or old film?
Yes — removal is priced separately by the hour.
It is honest work with no short cut, so we do not fold it into the fit price and hide it there.

Do you travel? Can you come to me?
Some jobs, some places — up to about 20 miles from the shop.
Ask when you book and we will tell you straight away.
Which towns do you cover?
Lowell, Rogers, Bentonville, Springdale, Fayetteville, and the rest of Northwest Arkansas.
