Wicked Auto Films Ceramic Coating Springdale

Ceramic Coating in Springdale

The clean, freshly coated hood of a dark car standing in an open workshop doorway, with an Arkansas treeline in the daylight beyond it.

A working vehicle gets dirtier. A coating is about how hard it is to get clean again.

A vehicle that works gets filthy in ways a weekend car does not: road film off 412, dust off site access, and whatever is on the road in winter. None of that is unusual. What matters is how much effort it takes to get off.

Where a coating earns its place on a working vehicle

A ceramic coating is a hard, slick layer bonded to the paint. Dirt has less to grip, so a truck that took a long time to wash properly takes noticeably less. On a vehicle that gets cleaned when there is time rather than when it needs it, that is the difference between it looking after itself and it looking neglected.

Winter is the sharper case. Treated roads put salt and grit on the lower panels, and a coated surface releases it far more readily than bare lacquer does.

What it will not do

It is not armour. A coating will not stop stone chips from Highway 412 — that is paint protection film, and it is a different product doing a different job. Plenty of working vehicles end up with film on the front end and a coating over everything else.

The preparation

The paint is decontaminated and corrected before anything is applied, because a coating is transparent and permanent-ish. Whatever the paint looks like going in is what gets sealed.
