Ceramic Coating Across Northwest Arkansas
Hard summer sun, sap in spring and gritted roads in winter. A coating is aimed at all three.
Whatever town a car is kept in, the year is the same one: strong summer sun, sap and pollen in spring, and treated roads through winter. A ceramic coating is aimed squarely at that calendar.
The three seasons a coating is for
- **Spring.** Pollen and tree sap. Sap is acidic and etches hot paint; a coated surface gives it somewhere to sit that is not your lacquer.
- **Summer.** Long static exposure in open car parks, and the water spotting that comes from washing a hot car.
- **Winter.** Salt and grit off treated roads, thrown at the panels least likely to get cleaned.
What it is
A thin, hard, transparent layer bonded to the paint. Water sheets off it, dirt struggles to grip it, and it resists the chemicals in road grime better than bare lacquer does. The gloss people notice is mostly the polishing done beforehand, sealed in.
What it is not
It is not protection against impact. Stone chips are paint protection film, which is a different product on a different part of the car, and a lot of vehicles carry both — film on the front end, coating over the rest.
