Paint Protection Film Across Northwest Arkansas
One motorway spine, hard summer sun, and gritted winter roads. Every car here meets all three.
Northwest Arkansas is really one corridor with towns hung off it, from Bella Vista at the top down to Fayetteville. Wherever a car is kept, it ends up on the same stretch of I-49 as everyone else's, and that stretch is where paint damage happens.
The three things a car meets here
- **Highway debris.** Sustained speed behind other traffic is what turns loose grit into chips.
- **Summer sun.** Long static exposure in open car parks, which is hard on paint and harder on a bonnet that is already chipped.
- **Treated winter roads.** Grit and salt thrown up behind the front wheels, at the panels least likely to be washed.
What the film answers
Paint protection film is clear urethane, fitted over the panels that take impact: bumper, bonnet edge, mirrors, and the wing behind each front wheel. It is invisible once fitted and it does not change the colour of the car.
It is a barrier against impact. It is not a coating, it does not make the car easier to wash, and the two do different jobs — a lot of cars end up with film on the front and a coating over the rest.
