Wicked Auto Films Window Tint Springdale

Window Tint in Springdale

A tinter working film onto a car's door glass, a heat gun in one hand and a squeegee in the other. The steering wheel and door card are clearly visible through the film.

A truck is allowed to go a lot darker at the back than a sedan is. That is worth using.

Springdale runs trucks, and Arkansas treats a truck differently from a sedan. The rear side windows and the rear glass of a truck, SUV or van are allowed to be substantially darker than the same glass on a car — while the front doors are held to the same limit on both.

That asymmetry is the most useful thing in the whole tint law, and most people do not know it exists.

What that means in practice

You can have a genuinely dark back end on a pickup, legally, while the front stays within the limit and within sensible visibility for night driving. On a sedan the same look is not available, and a shop that fits it anyway has handed you a ticket.

The full table is on our Arkansas window tint law page.

Heat, on a vehicle with a lot of glass

A crew cab has a lot of window area and often sits outdoors all day on a site or in a yard. Ceramic films reject considerably more heat than dyed films at the same visible shade, which matters more here than the percentage does.

If there is film on it already

Old, purpling film has to come off before new film goes on, and removal is real labour — especially on a rear screen with heater elements in it. Tell us it is there when you ask for a price.
